Access Forms (2 hours)

Course Length:  1 Class, 2 hours
Prerequisites:  Familiar with Microsoft Access

Overview
Forms can be used to enter data into a table, to open other forms or reports, or to create a custom dialog box for the user to direct Access to carry out a specific action.  Most of the information in a form comes from an underlying record source.  Other information in the form is stored in the form's design.  You can create the link between a form and its record source by using graphical objects called controls.  The most common type of control used to display and enter data is a text box.

In this class, participants will work with forms and develop forms in Design View.

Course Outline and Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
  • Use the controls on a form
  • Modify a form in Design View
  • Modify existing records
  • Develop forms in Design View
  • Add controls to a form
  • Move, resize, delete, and format controls on a form
