Using a Digital Camera

 
Course Length:  3 Classes, 2 hours each
Prerequisites:  Familiar with Windows Operating System
 
Overview
The Digital Camera workshop covers the steps necessary for properly using two different digital cameras.  This course is designed for anyone interested in learning the basic features of a digital camera and how to download the photographs into a software program.  It is recommended that students are familiar with Windows or Windows XP.
 
Course Outline and Objectives
This workshop is delivered in a lecture/demonstration format with hands-on activities that allow users to understanding and use the basic features of a digital camera and digital camera software.  After completing the workshop, students should be able to:
  • Set up a digital camera
  • Understand the various parts of a digital camera
  • Understand and change various camera settings
  • Take pictures
  • Review pictures
  • Delete pictures
  • Connect digital camera to computer and download pictures into software
  • Create a new folder to store pictures
  • Move digital picture(s) to hard drive
  • Delete all pictures on digital camera picture card
  • Save digital picture(s) on 3.5" floppy
  • Set digital picture as wallpaper on your desktop
  • Send digital picture(s) as an email attachment
  • Use digital pictures to create a screensaver slideshow
