Excel Financial Functions (2 hours)

Prerequisites:  Beginning Excel
  
Part 4 of the Advanced Excel Series
 
Overview
Financial functions perform common business calculations, such as determining the payment for a loan, the future value of net present value of an investment, and the values of bonds or coupons.  In this case, you will learn to calculate the payment on a loan and the value of an investment.
 
Course Outline and Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
  • Use Pmt to calculate the payment on a loan
  • Use Pmt to calculate the amount to save
  • Use Lpmt and Ppmt functions
  • Set up a running balance
  • Find present and future values (Pv and Fv)
