Prerequisites:  Familiar with Windows Operating System
 
Overview
Quicken is a financial program designed to help you track your money.  You can  make it simple:  Keeping your checkbook and tracking your credit card spending.  Or you can expand your account to track your spending habits, handle online banking and investments, pay your bills, track your tax planning for the year, and even create financial reports for you.  This class will concentrate the creation of accounts and manipulating the program.
 
Course Outline and Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
  • Create a checking account and enter transactions
  • Track credit card spending
  • Create cash-flow reports
  • Create an emergency records organizer
  • Determine insurance coverage needs with Home Inventory
  • Identify tax-related income and expense categories
