TUITION AND FEES

This class is offered at a cost of $557.00 per participant, plus $25 registration fee.  There is also a compulsory fee of $18 for books and materials--to be paid by the student.

PROGRAM SUMMARY

This course of study is structured to provide the student with an introduction to becoming a professional Blackjack Dealer.  The student will learn the rules and terminology of the game.  Students will learn how to shuffle and deal from a single deck, double deck, six-deck and eight-deck shoe.  The student will also master the correct handling of cheques and distribution of cards as related to the game of Blackjack.  Correct procedure of dealing the game and game protection will also be covered. 

PROGRAM LENGTH

Each program is flexible to accommodate our students' busy schedules.  Example:  Total 60 hours, four hours per session @ two days per week for  a period of 7 1/2 weeks.

We do offer on-site Blackjack Dealer Training that would include special break-down gaming tables.  Upon successful completion of Blackjack, the students receive certification and a copy of their student transcript.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

Week 1: Introduction to the game of Blackjack, rules, techniques and procedures

Week 2: Terminology, gaming equipment, and Primary Test.

Week 3: Dealer and Player Positions, cut procedure, making change, and changing color (color for color)

Week 4: Shuffle, pitch, shoe, and deploying of the cards, also Mid-Term Test

Week 5: Proper handling of cheques (cutting, plucking, and sizing)

Week 6: Opening and closing the table for play, Intermediate Test

Week 7: Insurance Bets, Markers, and credit line discussion

Week 8: Review all material to date, questions and answers, Mock Employment Application, Table Audition, and Final Test
