COURSE DESCRIPTION: What does it take to breathe new life into your old computer system?  More memory, more storage, a tune-up?  "Computer Repair and Upgrade I" teaches you the basic operations, maintenance functions, and troubleshooting needed to boost computer performance and to perform common upgrades.  This information-packed course will enable you to save money by performing your own basic computer repair and upgrade services.  Through hands-on experiments and step-by-step demonstrations, you'll learn numerous, important servicing techniques.  You'll be thrilled with the upgrade options that you'll actually perform in this class.

COURSE OBJECTIVES  Participants will gain an understanding of:

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting

  • Make basic repairs

  • Upgrades and additions

  • Maintenance

PREREQUISITES:  This course has been designed to provide information on computer repair and upgrade, regardless of the student's experience.

COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS

To receive a grade of Complete, a student is expected to satisfactorily complete 60% of the course requirements.  If a student fails to complete 60% of the required work, a grade of Incomplete will be applied.  Students may request make-up sessions if needed. These sessions will be scheduled as needed for any student to satisfactorily complete the course requirements within 30 days after the end of the scheduled class sessions.

REFUND POLICY

If a participant attends only one session, no payment will be requested.  After two sessions, full payment is required.  Attendance in any part of a session constitutes full attendance for the class session.
